Sample submission terms

Your confirmations

You confirm that you are lawfully in possession of the material, that you are entitled to have it analysed, and that submitting it does not breach any law or agreement applicable to you.

You confirm the sample description you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge, including any known hazards.

Materials we cannot accept

We do not accept controlled substances, biological or infectious materials, radioactive materials, explosives, or anything requiring a licence we do not hold. Packages containing such material are quarantined and reported as required.

Receipt and condition

Intake records the arrival time, package condition and sample condition, with a photograph. Where a sample arrives damaged, insufficient, or unidentifiable, testing is held and you are contacted before any work proceeds.

Retention and disposal

Remaining sample material is retained under controlled storage for a defined period after the certificate is issued, to support retesting or investigation. After that period it is disposed of following our waste procedures.

Return shipping of remaining material is not offered by default; ask before ordering if you require it.

Consumption

Analysis consumes sample material. Where the quantity supplied is insufficient for the requested tests, we will contact you rather than proceed with a compromised preparation.
